Terms of service - the agreement concluded by opening the site
By using this site - reading a page, sending a form, making a call - you agree to these terms. They are short, because the platform's role is short: we find you a lawyer and provide information, while legal services are provided by an independent lawyer under their own agreement.
The document has nine parts. If one point interests you - the contents are above. If something is unclear - info@coalition.ge, a reply within one working day. Additional rules for lawyers are on a separate page and form part of this document.

Who is who in this relationship
"The platform" - Coalition Legal, the operator of the site, at თბილისი, [ქუჩა, ნომერი]. "The user" - any person using the site. "The lawyer" - an independent attorney or legal consultant with a profile on the site, who is not an employee of the platform. "A matter" - a user's enquiry that the coordinator passes to a lawyer.
The platform is not a law firm, does not provide legal services and does not represent anyone in court. It is an intermediary: it introduces the user and the lawyer to each other and provides information. The legal services agreement, the fee and liability are between the user and the lawyer, without the platform's participation.
What the platform provides to the user
- Directory and search
- Profiles of verified lawyers by practice area, city and language. Verification confirms register status, identity and consent - not the lawyer's qualification in a specific case.
- The coordinator's consultation
- A free call or form through which the coordinator frames the matter and passes it to a lawyer. The coordinator gives no legal advice and is not responsible for the outcome of the matter.
- "Free first consultation"
- Means free contact with the coordinator and, where the lawyer so indicates, a free first conversation with the lawyer to assess the situation. Running the case is not free and begins with the lawyer's agreement.
- Informational content
- Practice area and city pages, guides, calculators, the glossary, the ranking - general information with a publication date. It is not legal advice and does not replace a specific case.
What you undertake when using the site
- You provide truthful information in the form and on the call - a name, contact details and a description of the matter that is yours or that of a person you are entitled to represent.
- You write a review only from your own experience, about a lawyer you worked with through the platform. A review concerns facts, not the person, and contains no third-party data.
- You do not use the site for spam, automated requests, mass collection of lawyers' data or enquiries in someone else's name.
- You do not use the relationship with a lawyer contrary to the platform rules - for example sending one matter repeatedly under different names.
- You do not reproduce the platform's text, design and code commercially; quotation with attribution and a link is free.
The lawyer's independence and the platform's role towards them
The lawyer practises independently under the Law on Advocates and the Code of Ethics. The fee, the terms of the agreement and the strategy of the case are agreed by the lawyer directly with the user. The platform does not set, receive or take a share of the fee - the lawyer pays the platform for visibility and for matters passed on, which does not increase the user's fee.
The platform verifies the lawyer by register, identity and consent, measures response time and reviews, and removes the profile on a breach. These measures are not a guarantee of the lawyer's quality and do not replace the user's own duty to choose a lawyer. A complaint about a lawyer is reported to the platform and to the Bar Association's ethics commission - both routes are open.
The biography, typical cases and fee written by the lawyer in the profile are the lawyer's information and responsibility. The platform does not verify the accuracy of those fields, other than the certificate, status, name and city.
Rules for reviews and the ranking
- Who may
- A review is written only by a user whose matter is recorded on the platform, via a link received after the case starts or ends. A review without the link is technically not accepted.
- Moderation
- A review is published within 72 hours if it concerns the case and contains no third-party data or abuse. The text is not edited; the reason for a refusal is sent to the author. The lawyer has the right to a public reply.
- The ranking
- The score is calculated by an open methodology and is independent of any paid plan. It measures data, not the outcome of a case, and should not be the only basis for choosing a lawyer.
- Appeals
- A review, a score or an exclusion can be appealed by either side under the procedure described in the methodology, is considered within 5 working days, and the result is sent to both.
The status of the calculators, guides and glossary
All text and tools on the site are general in nature, with a date of publication and last update, under the version of Georgian law in force at that time. Law and practice change; information older than its date may be out of date. A calculator result is a guide for a decision, not a document, and the verification status of its rates is stated openly on the page.
The platform takes care of the accuracy of content - through review by a lawyer, dates and a correction procedure - but does not guarantee its completeness or its fit with your case. A decision taken on the basis of the content without consulting a lawyer is your responsibility. A report of an error to info@coalition.ge is considered within 3 working days.
What the platform is not liable for
The platform is liable for its own service - verification, coordination, data protection - within the limits set by law. It is not liable for:
- The quality of the legal services provided by a lawyer, compliance with deadlines, the outcome of the case and the fee - these are the subject of the agreement between the lawyer and the user.
- Time or deadlines lost as a result of contact details or a matter entered incorrectly by the user.
- Damage arising from a decision taken on the basis of the site's information without consulting a lawyer.
- Temporary unavailability of the site for technical reasons, where it does not put the user's matter at risk of a missed deadline and the phone is available.
- The content of third-party sites to which links are provided - the registry, the courts, government agencies.
Who owns what is on the site
The site's text, structure, design, code and ranking methodology are the property of the platform. Quotation with attribution and a link, for non-commercial purposes, is free; reproduction, translation or placement of a whole page or section on another site requires written consent.
Text and photos uploaded by a lawyer to their profile are the lawyer's property; the platform has the right to display them on the site for as long as the profile exists. A user's review is the user's text; by sending the review the user grants the right to publish it on the site and to use it in anonymous statistics.
Governing law, dispute resolution and updating the terms
The terms are governed by the law of Georgia. A dispute between the user and the platform is first resolved by negotiation - a written claim to info@coalition.ge, a reply within 10 working days - and then in the courts of Georgia at the platform's location, unless the law gives the user a different court.
The terms change only on this page, with the date above. A material change is published one month in advance; continued use of the site means acceptance of the new terms. The invalidity of one clause does not affect the rest.
The privacy policy and the rules for lawyers are an integral part of this document and apply together with it.
Questions about the terms
The lawyer quoted me a different fee at the consultation from the one on the profile. Whom do I contact?
The platform - this is a breach of the lawyer rules and concerns the profile. If you have not yet signed an agreement, rely on the profile fee or choose another lawyer; if you have signed - the agreement fee applies, and the dispute is with the lawyer. In both cases the platform checks the facts.
A lawyer found through the platform lost the case. Is the platform liable?
No - the lawyer is responsible for the outcome of the case under professional standards and the Code of Ethics, not the platform. If the loss was caused by the lawyer's gross error or a missed deadline, that is a matter for the Bar Association's ethics commission and for damages; the platform reviews the review and the profile's status.
Can I use the platform's text on my site?
A quotation (a few sentences) with attribution and a link - yes. A whole page, guide or calculator logic - only with written consent. Lawyers may place a link to their own profile and their card on their own site without any restriction.
