The Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary elects members of the Coalition Steering Committee and the Chair Organization
On September 9, the Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary, with the support of USAID/PROLoG, held a general assembly to discuss the Coalition’s work and elect the members of the Steering Committee and the Chair organization. Representatives of 24 member organizations participated. Giorgi Mshvenieradze, from the Georgian Democracy Initiative (GDI), reported on the activities carried out during his chairmanship.The second half of the meeting was dedicated to the elections of the Steering Committee and the Chair organization. Participants elected the Steering Committee composed of nine organizations: Georgian Democracy Initiative, Georgian Young Lawyers Association, Transparency International Georgia, Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center, Open Society Georgia Foundation, International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy, Article 42 of the Constitution, Partnership for Human Rights, and Institute for the Development of Freedom of Information. GDI retained the chairmanship.
