The Judicial System: Past Reforms and Future Perspectives
The Coalition for an Independent and Transparent Judiciary will present the findings of the study, which provides an analysis of reforms and recent trends in the Georgian Court System and also explores current institutional problems related to judicial selection and appointment, probation and lifetime appointments, number of judges and caseload, judicial specialization, evaluation and promotion, court administration and management, and the judicial disciplinary system. The study is a result of a collaborative effort of the organizations, members of the Coalition, the Georgian Young Lawyers Association, Transparency International - Georgia, Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center, and Partnership for Human Rights.
